It is coming up to that time again to renew our membership. Renewal can be done via the website or through the office. Although there has been a small rise in the yearly membership, from $80 to $85 for a city member and $59 for a country member this is very good value for money. Access to our excellent facilities and the joy of stitching with like-minded friends with lots of free advice and help. The excellent Library, Trading Table and classes are added bonuses.
The Guild is having a fundraising film afternoon at the Regal Cinema, Kensington Park on Saturday the 27th of May at 2.45pm. The film ‘Book Club. The Next Chapter’ follows four best friends as they take their book club to Italy for the fun girls trip they never had. Tickets can be obtained via the office or on the day. The ticket ($25) includes Tea, Coffee and cakes before the movie as well as a free raffle with great prizes. A fun day with a great movie.
During the History Festival in May the Guild Museum has an exhibition titled ‘Avid Collectors’ which shows some of the objects collected by 2 of our members highlighting their interest in Turkish and Mediterranean lace. The Museum is open Tuesday and Thursday to the public and to members at any time.
