The Guild offers several longer structured courses. These include Basics to Beyond, Certificate Course and Jems. The courses are based at the Guild Headquarters in Hughes St. Basics to Beyond is also available to country members. The Certificate Course is available by correspondance to interstate and country members.
Basics to Beyond is for the newer less experienced stitcher to increase their proficiency and to help improve their confidence.
The Certificate Course is designed for stitchers to extend and explore their interests in specific areas. It goes from Level 1 to Level 4. There is also an Advanced Certificate which requires an indepth study of an embroidery related topic.
Jems, for Junior Embroiderers, is a course designed for younger people from 8 years of age to introduce them to stitching. There is an emphasis on encouraging their creativity through various projects. All threads and fabric are provided.
