Early in 2013 two of our talented members were looking through the latest museum exhibition and discussing the various items on display when an idea for a sampler occurred to them. These ladies, after examining many embroideries in the collection and spending many hours on trialing patterns, threads and colours, have produced a beautiful and unique band sampler. This sampler, on display at the Guild headquarters, gives a variety of counted stitch and cutwork bands with clear detailed instructions making it suitable for embroiderers of all levels.
Worked on 32 Count Permin “White Chocolate” linen it has a finished size of 11cm x 45cm and uses DMC stranded cotton and Perle cotton. It is on sale from the office and all profits are kept by the Guild.
