We have new classes available for members and for any stitcher who wants to try a new technique. This is a chance to join International Tutor, Katherine Harmer Fox, for a 3 day workshop stitching your choice of either a postcard, bowl set or an A3 picture. Over the 3 days master artistic machine embroidery over applique. You can use one of her images or a favourite of your own. Di Fisher is teaching some redwork and gold motifs and her prize winning gold bag. Di Kirchner will introduce new and experienced stitches to Amelia Ars, a whitework technique and Ann-Marie Anderson-May will show stunning canvas stitch designs that can be used in many ways.
As always book early, this helps the tutors get organised and ensures the class goes ahead. Registrations need to be before the closing date for the classes, this is around 2 weeks before the first day of the class. Check with the Guild office if you need further information. The Guild education committee organizes classes on a broad range of techniques and is always happy to receive suggestions on new classes. Join a class and have fun and learn new skills.
