Description: For those owl lovers amongst you – ‘Time for a Snooze’ is an easy and fun wool felt applique class that is suitable for beginners and those that have some experience. Stitched in the hand (not with a hoop), the class incorporates wool felt applique using some straightforward basic surface stitches with variegated stranded cotton and Perle threads. Learn how to use freezer paper and a specialist glue stick to make the job easier. Some basic beading and sequin stitches are also used to enhance the design plus a small amount of metallic thread for added sparkle – you can never have too much bling! Whilst there are sufficient threads in the kit to complete the design you are welcome to bring any of your stranded cotton/Perle 8 variegated threads from your stash to use or experiment with. The design can be stitched on the background piece of black wool felt and left as is or then applied to a Yazzii bag as shown in the photos. An option, detailed in the requirements list, is to pre purchase a Yazzii Bag from the tutor in various complementary colours at a discounted price. The finished design measures approximately 22cm x 16cm.
