During this workshop, we will practice the Basic Principles of Long and Short stitch to better understand how this stitch works. We will concentrate on how to achieve smooth grading of colour without also changing stitch direction.
We will discuss crewel embroidery in general, cover all the stitches used in this project, and practise methods to get a good result from long and short stitches and techniques frequently used in crewel embroidery.
