Cleo Butterfly 2 day workshop with Alison Cole

Cleo (short for Cleopatra) is the latest butterfly in our butterfly house of designs!  Inspired by the art deco period and the craze for all things Egyptian at the time, she has stylized lotus shapes hiding in her wings.  She is embroidered in gold and jewel green tones on strawberry silk dupion and uses a range of materials including English gilt metal threads, English coloured couching threads, Indian sadi threads, Au Ver a Soie silks, beads, a pearl and beetlewings to give that extra flash of green!  The design size is approximately 12.5cm x 8.5cm.

Closing Date Friday 15th August 2025. Kit cost $110.00 payable to tutor on the first day of class.
