A New Year and More projects

At last we welcome the start of a new year with all the promise of new projects and hopefully the completion of some current projects. I know each year I resolve to finish the current project before starting the next and fail as there are so many ideas I want to try.

The guild will be running normally from January 15th with all groups meeting and the Library once again open for borrowing.

Over the Christmas period the Library Team did a stocktake while the rest of us worked on our entries for the upcoming Guild Exhibition. The Members bi-annual exhibition, It Starts with a Stitch, is a chance to showcase our skills and compete for the Peg Saddler Award, for original design, and the Viewers Choice Award. Entries will be received from Monday to Friday, 20-24th of February. The entry form is in the Members section. Remember you can enter as many items as you want and is open to city and country members. The Exhibition will run from March 4th to the 19th and is open to the public so bring your friends.

In December our President issued a challenge to design and stitch a postcard and these will also be on display during the Exhibition.

Don’t forget the Special Meeting on February 6th. If you cannot attend the Proxy Form can be found in the Members section.
